"CHIMP"

CHIMP is an original short horror film written and directed by Tristan Seever and starring Julia Tower. 

CHIMP began filming in January 2023 when Tristan and Julia (fiancés) were snowed-in, in Prescott, Arizona. 

Taking inspiration from the props and household items around them, the story of CHIMP began to take form. 

A chimpanzee mask, a monkey toy, ping pong balls, a wine glass, all would be used as tools to craft a unique story. 

Locations and scenes would later be written in to the script to further develop the plot, and for the next 2 years, Tristan and Julia would dedicate countless sleepless nights to  bringing this wild story to life. 

From building miniatures, to creating mythical creatures using practical effects, to dealing with fire, snow, and complex fight sequences, CHIMP proved to be a huge undertaking for a one-man crew and lead actress who were simultaneously balancing full-time jobs. 

It was all worth it though. Tristan and Julia are excited to show the world what they’ve been working on.
